Board of Directors

Chicago Central hockey programming is led by a volunteer board of directors overseeing USA hockey regulations, ice rink partnerships, community involvement with youth hockey programming, and facilitating relationships with our assigned schools. High School hockey offers student athletes an opportunity to grow on and off the ice and experience special opportunities some of which come with the support of the Chicago Blackhawks and their facilities – Blackhawks Ice Center for practices/games and the United Center for state championships.

Bruce Turpin (email) – Program Director

Program Director - Bruce Turpin

Bruce is a Level 5 USA Hockey certified coach with over 20 years of head coaching experience. He is the current Director of Player and Coaching Development and Girls Hockey Director with the Elmhurst Chiefs. Bruce’s coaching background includes an 8-year tenure as the York High School Hockey Director and Varsity Head Coach, as well as time with the Chicago Blues, Northbrook Bluehawks, Winnetka Warriors, Loyola Academy and CYA Girls hockey.

Bruce was born and raised in Canada. He currently lives in Oak Park and has two children Calder and Wren, who both play hockey and are goalies.
